Appointments are done online only and are fully interactive audio and visual. Mrs. Burdick has done many college-planning sessions online with success. Contact wburdick@teenworks.net to schedule a session.
College Plan- $60.00/per student (approx. 2 hour session) Research possible colleges for possible major. Research three colleges to transfer credits with the following information. Research an online college that will accept all CBEs such as TESC. A. CBEs accepted by each institution. B. General Education requirements for each institution. C. Cost – Tuition, room and board, etc. for each institution. D. Entrance requirements for each institution. Recommend possible options for accelerating college. ACT and SAT preparation/information.
Each additional college researched $30.00 You are responsible to take the information given and then make a decision that meets your goals.
Note: To help you to be more informed and to ensure the student has success, we want you to know the following before signing up: Make sure the computer-based exam (CBE) is meeting your goal. Everyone has different goals for higher education. It is your responsibility to contact the college of your choice to make sure that the institution accepts the CBE for credit. Each college also has different score requirements for a passed class that will receive credit. This will be done for you as part of the college planning session. (See above) Make sure the student has sufficient high school courses that provided a good foundation. Collegeworks does a survey of the material, but can not teach the foundational material that a student receives in high school. Make sure student has sufficient time to study while taking a CW module. We expect that the student must attend all sessions and study another 1-1 ½ hours each night. Make sure you contact the college where you will be taking the exam. Give yourself a deadline. Once you have made the decision to take a Collegeworks class contact a Collegeworks representative via e-mail. wburdick@teenworks.net . Once registration has been received, we will do a computer check to make sure the internet connection is good. All Collegeworks modules are offered online only. Submit all registrations on time or a late registration fee will be added. There must be a minimum of 5 students enrolled in order to run the module. If there are insufficient numbers, you will be contacted. If a module is canceled then funds will be refunded.
