School Performance Framework (SPF)
a data-driven approach to review and meet specific needs of the school district
• Provides a comprehensive picture of how schools are
performing year to year.
• Combines data from 34 unique measures within
seven categories to calculate an overall rating for
each school.
• Provides District and school staff with a snapshot of a
school’s performance in order to pinpoint strengths
or areas of concern within the school.
• Improve instructional practices that will result in
increased student achievement.
• Provides a holistic review of all attributes of a school
including enrollment, achievement, facilities and
interest.

Next steps:
1. Create a Student Success Committee for each identified school.
SAC & Principal will select committee members to review and develop
ideas.
• School Student Success Committee make up:
o 6 members consisting of:
1 SAC/SAF
2 School Representatives
2 Community Members
1 Municipality Representative
o Committee will meet between September through December
and share recommendations with the School Board
2. Communication
• Principal conference call with schools that will participate in
Student Success Committees;
• Share data and SSC initiation with the School Board at August 29th
School Board Workshop
• District will facilitate parent notification for impacted schools
• Principal will solicit committee members to engage
