        We are pleased to inform you that India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) will be
organizing India’s National level participation in Almaty International Fair, Almaty
(Kazakhstan) from August 13-21, 2011. The organizers of the show have bestowed the
status of a ‘Partner Country’ to India.

       Almaty International Fair in its debut edition will be the largest consumer exhibition in
Kazakhstan and is expected to attract over five hundred thousand visitors in the thriving
Almaty city, which is Central Asia’s most cosmopolitan city having a wealth of shops and
restaurants. Its abundance of hi end and luxury segment brands ensure the elite sense of
fashion and style which is now significant part of modern-day Almaty lifestyle.

         Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Kazakhstan, trade
and economic relations between the two countries are growing at a steady pace. India’s
exports to Kazakhstan have increased from US$ 90.86 million in 2005-06 to US$ 136.54
million in 2009-10. To give further impetus to bilateral trade, economic cooperation, an inter-
governmental Joint Commission has been set up with Kazakhstan. A number of high level
visits have also taken place. The recent visit of India’s Prime Minister to Kazakhstan in April,
2011, has provided a new momentum in enhancing the bi-lateral trade and investments.
Kazakhstan possesses huge potential for Indian products which are well received by them.
Various investment promotion schemes of the government of Kazakhstan are creating a
positive environment for Indian investors to expand in Kazakhstan. The proposed
participation in the Almaty International Fair, will accordingly, provide an ideal opportunity to
the Indian Exhibitors to interact with their counterparts and further increase trade with

       The major display profile includes Home-style; Gifts and Souvenirs; Footwear;
Leather Haberdashery; Clothing and Accessories.

       Since the event will provide an excellent opportunity to showcase India’s capabilities
& strengths in various sectors, we strongly recommend your participation in a befitting

         The highly subsidized participation charges will be approximately Rs. 7,000/- per plus 10.3% Service Tax, without shipment facility. For two side open stand, an
additional 10% will be charged. The minimum bookable area is 9 sq. mtrs and further, in
multiples of 3 sq. mtrs. ITPOs package of services will include fully constructed booth with
partition walls, signboard with company name, carpeting, 1 table, 3 chairs, 3 spotlights per 9
sq. mtr and appropriate display props. Any additional requirements are to be borne by the
exhibitors themselves and paid directly at Almaty in foreign exchange. The fact sheet,
application form and rules & regulations for participation in the fair are enclosed. The
participants will undertake shipment and clearance of their exhibits directly.

         We would request you to please confirm your space requirement in the enclosed
application form along with the full payment, by Demand Draft drawn in favour of India Trade
Promotion Organisation, New Delhi.
