Sewing and Knitting

In this popular class, students will learn
basic sewing techniques and skills, including
various stitches, buttons, sequence and the
use of patterns. They will learn basic
knitting and pearling. Younger students who
may not have the fine motor skills to knit
with needles will learn to finger knit
instead. Returning students will continue to
build on their basic sewing skills as they
work on new projects designed to match
their interests. All participants will make
projects to take home and use!
Pannipa Sieben has been an Instructional
Paraeducator and Special Education
Paraeducator at Beach School for six years.
She has been teaching her popular Sewing class
at Beach for the last three years and for the
APCP summer school program for the last two
years. She especially enjoys sharing her love of
sewing with the kids and seeing their smiles of
satisfaction when they have completed their
projects.
