Receipts required for voter registration

RECEIPTS REQUIRED FOR VOTER REGISTRATION MontgomeryCountyVA.gov Sept. 15, 2009 Montgomery County, Virginia – Virginia law requires a receipt be given by persons/groups conducting voter registration drives to any person who completes an application. The person applying to vote must be provided a receipt naming the person or group receiving the completed voter registration, date and the phone number of the general registrar (540-382-5723) or the State Board of Elections (1-800-552-9745). The voter registrar or the State Board of Elections may be called to confirm registration.
