									                Extra Credit: Mole Day Project
Due on “Mole Day”, (June 01, 2012)
You may earn up to 10 bonus points in the grading category of your choice by
completing a Mole Day project. You will have several different choices for your
projects, listed below. You may use the internet to research your project but any
internet articles/pages that you use in a research paper must be printed and
attached to the final copy of the paper. Project papers must be typed on a word
processor. I would expect the papers to be in the range of 2-4 pages, double
spaced, maximum 12 pt type, with 1-inch margins. References cited would be on
additional pages with printouts of the internet articles also attached.

--Making Mole Models
You could make a “Mole Model” of some sort. Examples include:

 A Stuffed Mole, from a pattern. Note that the Stuffed Mole Pattern has
been hyperlinked to the Calendar Page where you found this document. If
you choose this project you will need to download and print the pattern.

The DUE DATE is 6/01 of this school year, which is Mole Day (the alternate
possible Mole day is Oct 23 but that will be too late!). You may turn in your project
early if you wish. Papers/projects will be marked for the stated criteria from each
section (above) as well as content and presentation. Other projects will be marked
for innovation, imagination, care of execution, and accuracy, as appropriate.

NOTE: NO LATE PROJECTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. THE FINAL
DUE DATE IS MOLE DAY, JUNE 01, 2012
