Title: Collecting Flower Data
Perennials, Chrysanthemums, Annuals, Hardy Shrub Roses, and others as trials are secured.
Description of Job
The person assigned to the collecting Flower Data will walk around the specific garden and
collect data from the plants that are grown at the West Central Research and Outreach Center.
Number of Volunteers Needed: 4 teams of two people. Individuals must be paired with another
volunteer to record flower data.

The task for this position would include:
Walking through gardens, observing specific characteristics, and writing down data
Bringing data back and turning it in.
The skills required for this position would include:
Bending down to look at plants
Clear written skills
Able to work in a self directed manner
Hardy Shrub Roses-1 hour per week June 15 through frost
Perennial Flowers-1 hour per week late June through frost
Annual flowers-4 evaluations needed, each evaluation takes 4 hours, mid-July and mid- August.
Chrysanthemums-2evaluations needed per week for 1 hour each. August 1-killing frost
The time commitment for this position would include one day of training (during the day, 5
hours), And 2 hours per week throughout the growing season of perennials.
