Job Seeker

Binoculars

Staffs use Binoculars to conduct a search of the SKIES database to find existing records
of Job Seekers. A User selects a combination of search criteria, executes a query, and
views the results on a search results screen. When search results total more than the
viewable area, a scroll bar activates to view all of the results of a search.

A User may sort the data by clicking on the button at the top of each column. The data
fields in the columns auto-fill based on the information in SKIES. The default sort results
of a Job Seeker Binoculars Search display in ascending (A - Z) alphabetical order
according to the Seeker last name.

Note: Print, a query, may not be the exact results of the query displayed on the screen.

The User may manually print the Binoculars Search results in the order of the sort. The
sort order of the data remains fixed until the User performs another sort or exits the
search criteria screen.

Use the Binoculars icon when the desired result of a search is a list with similar
characteristics.

Two methods to create Job Seeker records: 1) Basic Job Seeker records are
automatically created in SKIES from system interfaces with the Department of Social
and Health Services (DSHS) New Hire Data, DSHS Department of Vocational
Rehabilitation, DSHS Automated Client Eligibility System (ACES), the Employment
Security Department (ESD) Client Placement Program, Go2WorkSource.com, and the
ESD General Unemployment Insurance Development Effort (GUIDE). 2) A User may
create Job Seeker records. It is crucial a User do a thorough search to find a Job Seeker
record prior to creating a new record to avoid duplicating records and a means to access
files before providing services.

When searching for information from a large data source, using an exact and specific set
of search parameters narrows the search.
