      A. HODs: Heads of Departments of Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication,
         Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering branches takes care of the individual
         departments and the Heads of Departments of Physics, Mathematics & Humanities and
         Chemistry look after the smooth running of the First year engineering course. Review of general
         departmental administration is taken up during periodic Principal-HODs meetings.
      B. ACADEMIC CELL: An Academic Cell is created with the cell looking after the following
         functions, in association with the Heads of Departments.
             Review of Minutes of HODs' Meetings

                Monitoring of regular class-work
              Monitoring of Students' attendance

              Creating and maintaining of Student-Folders. A Student-Folder is a record of the progress
               made by a student from the time he joins the college. These are being created from I year
               onwards for the BE/BTech courses.

              Co-ordinating and Counseling of Students & Parents in general when shortcomings are
               noticed among students (NOT GRIEVANCES).
              Feed-back on faculty performance from Students.

              Faculty Self-Appraisal


      C. EXAMINATIONS CELL: The Examinations Cell is in charge of conducting all examinations –
         University examinations and internal examinations. This is to protect and maintain the sanctity in
         the examination and evaluation processes.
      D. DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE: The Disciplinary Committee looks after the campus discipline
         and is created mainly to curb any possibilities of ragging. It monitors individual Anti-ragging
         Committees functioning at Department level.
      E. TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL (T & P CELL): A Training and Placement Cell looks after
         the career opportunities for the students and helps them develop their Personality and readies the
         students for interviews and possible placements.

 Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/improvements

             i. Lab equipment: Planning and procuring the Lab equipment
            ii. Lesson plans: Developing lesson plans for the subjects

      Students’ development:
            i. Working as Group Counsellors for a batch of 15-20 students
            ii. Organizing sports and cultural activities

     

       Mechanism/Norms & Procedure for democratic/good Governance
          o Leadership
                  At the level of the Society: Leadership is provided by the Chairman,
                   Governing Body.
                  At the level of the Institute: Administrative and Academic leadership is
                   provided through the Principal and Heads of the Departments.
                  Decentralization and delegation & participation of faculty
                   Appropriate delegation has been given at various levels regarding
                   financial and administrative matters to the Faculty members. Faculty
                   members participate in all academic activities, development of
               laboratories, course curricula as well as students’ welfare affairs and
               cultural activities.
       o Transparency
            All activities of the Institute regarding admissions, instructions, internal
            examinations, procurement, appointment and planning etc. are transparent as
            specified norms are followed and faculty members are involved in the
            decision making process.


 Student Feedback on Institutional Governance/faculty performance: Academic Cell
  looks after the student feedback on faculty performance and Institutional Governance.
                                                           Grievance redressal mechanism
  for faculty, staff and students: Grievances Cell works under the supervision of
  Disciplinary Committee and looks after the grievances of students and works for the
  redressal of the same. The Principal looks after all the problems the staff and faculty may
  be facing and works for the remedy.
          A teacher is associated as a group counsellor for every twenty students. The
  group counsellor holds meetings at regular intervals and provides counselling and
  guidance to the students. Difficulties and shortcomings of the Institution are taken care of
  by the appropriate authority of the Institution.
          The students inform the Group Counsellor about their grievances regarding
  teachers, institute & other activities and the same are reported to the Principal and
  appropriate action is taken. Grievances of faculty & staff are also taken care of by
  directly reporting to the Principal so grievances are discussed and solution found.
