ENERGY UPGRADE PLEASANTON
PROGRAM SUMMARY
BASIC UPGRADE PACKAGE
The basic package includes: Additional features (Pleasanton residents only):
Air sealing Free bathroom and kitchen faucet aerators
Attic insulation Free high-efficiency shower heads
Duct sealing Free toilet flapper valves and dye strips
Hot water pipe insulation Free/discounted weather-based irrigation
Thermostatic control valve controllers ($75 for single family; $100 for
(shower) multifamily)
Combustion safety testing Free irrigation assessment/sprinkler
(gas appliances) programming
$100 toward purchase of new high-efficiency
toilet (limit 3); rebate (TBD) toward installation
Rebate for replacing lawn with drought-resistant
landscaping
REBATES
Green Home Solutions: 10% off labor and materials
State (incl. PG&E): $1,000
City of Pleasanton: $500 for projects $5,000 - $9,999
FINANCING (also applies to Advanced Upgrade Package)
California Home Finance: 3% interest, 15-year fixed term; no minimum/maximum loan
amount; income for deed holder(s) is 60-160% of $147,680. Grant funds available:
15% of project cost (up to $1,250) and up to $700 to cover inspections.
GEO-Smart: 5.99% interest, 8-year term, loan fees = to 10% of the contract cost,
unsecured note, $35000 maximum loan amount
Enerbank: 12 months same as cash and 6 months same as cash.
Green Home Solutions: 6%, 15-year fixed term; FICO score of 660 or higher, up to
$50,000.
ADVANCED UPGRADE PACKAGE
The advanced package may include basic features, plus any of the measures below:
High-efficiency furnace
Energy-efficient cooling
Solar water heater system
Energy-efficient windows
Duct replacement
External wall insulation and painting
Other custom energy-saving measures
REBATES
Green Home Solutions: $99 assessment ($395 value), 10% off labor and materials
State (incl. PG&E): Up to $4,000
City of Pleasanton: $1,000 for projects $10,000 or more

SOLAR ALLIANCE PROGRAM
The Solar Alliance program features:
Free solar evaluation; streamlined permitting process (15 minutes)
Turnkey program, using local installers
Reputable vendor and reliable equipment
25-year warranty
Net metering potential
REBATES
Solar Alliance Program:
Residential $0.40/watt, up to $2,000
Res/early adopter $0.05/watt, up to $250 (valid thru 4/22/12)
Commercial $0.20/watt, up to $10,000
CSI:
Residential $0.25/watt
Commercial $0.25/watt
City of Pleasanton: $1,000 for projects 1.5 kW or more
Federal tax credit: Up to 30% of installed cost (no cap)
FINANCING
Solar loan: zero down, 5/10/15/20 year terms, low/fixed APR, no loan fees or
prepayment penalties, up to $50k, based on FICO score, no home equity needed.
Home equity loan: zero down, tax deductible interest, fixed rates for 25 years.
Solar lease: zero down, 20-year term, buyout options at years 6 and 20, FICO scores
as low as 700. Rebates also apply to lease program.
