Fixed Price Auctions and EBay Stores As you began to expand your identity as an EBay seller by listing more items, you will also begin to see more of a profit from your auctions that have closed. You’re enjoying yourself immensely, and making money, too! Most of your auctions have been Bid auctions, and with some of the items that you’ve sold, you didn’t make quite as much of a profit as you had hoped you would. You have learned a little more about EBay and how the whole auction system works, and you feel very much at ease with the process of listing an item and following its progress every step of the way throughout the auction. You have quite a few new items to list, and would like to try a new auction format for them to see if you can bump your profits up a little. Why not take it a step further, and open an EBay store? Most EBay sellers who have done this have seen their sales increase in a big way. Building an EBay store will give you the opportunity to sell many items at once. The auction format of an EBay store seems to work better for those people who seem to always have an auction or two running at the same time. It saves them time and helps them to keep track of their sales and profits much more easily. You can use any of the three auction formats in your EBay store. These formats are Auction Style, Fixed Price, and Store Inventory. You can use just one, or all three formats at a time. Of the three, the Fixed Price format seems to be one of the most popular, and it’s easy to see why. The Fixed Price format works better for many people because of the simplicity of implementing it. It’s sort of a “set it and forget it” scenario. You choose the price for each item you have to sell, and it is listed with your item’s photographs and description. Of course, you do have the option to go in and change the price if you see that the item isn’t going to sell at its current price. You can also add the option of a “Best Offer” auction format, where you can indicate which items in your EBay store you would consider doing a little bargaining with. Buyers can make you an offer, and it is up to you whether or not to accept it. Members can search your EBay store just like they can search the regular EBay auction listings. It’s a proven fact that listing some of the items in your store with the Fixed Price listing format will give your items better placement. This can be very important in boosting your sales, for if interested buyers cannot find your items to buy, you certainly aren’t going to see much of a profit! Step out in faith and try something new with your EBay auctions. The Fixed Price auction format could work better for you than you ever dreamed possible!
