   Some internal promotions may require the post-holder to undertake a further period of probation.
    Panels are asked to consider whether this support is appropriate to individual appointments.
  General:
   This Appointment Form is to be used Teachers and Teaching Associates.
   Contracts must only be issued by the HR Division. Back-dated contracts will not be issued.
   If the post is funded by a research grant, then the Appointment Form must be emailed to
    RACDHRREQ@cardiff.ac.uk for approval by RACDV before forwarding to HR. If the job was originally
    approved by FINCE, but has been amended in any way (e.g. change of hours), then the Appointment
    Form must be emailed to Finance Vacancy Approvals (sagf1@cardiff.ac.uk).
   New contracts will NOT be issued without: FINCE/ RACDV* approval (*external funded posts only) ;
    completed Application Form and Interview Assessment Form;
   Contracts can be issued subject to receipt of satisfactory references, declaration of criminal record
    and occupational health assessment where applicable. These documents for appointed candidates
    should be returned to HR (via internal mail or email to HRContracts@Cardiff.ac.uk) once received
    within the School/Directorate so that an offer of employment can be confirmed. Please note an
    individual can not start working for the University until all relevant documentation including A & I has
    been received and verified by Central HR.
  Location
    Please confirm the location/building name at which this employee will be based. This will also form
    part of the payslip address. A list of approved locations is available on the HR website. If the
    Employee is not based at one of these sites, please mark the location as “Offsite” as all
    correspondence and payslips will be forwarded to their home address.
