School Spelling Bee: The school spelling bee was held on Tues., Feb. 7. After 33 rounds
of competition, Elias Raymundo claimed the victory. Tyler Zeis was the runner-up, Gared
Watkins placed third, and Zach Salyers placed fourth. Elias will represent LCMS at the district
spelling bee on February 21 with Tyler as his understudy. Last year's school runner up (Connor
Playforth) won our district Bee and went on to the state level.
PAS C Testing is scheduled for February 20-24--this is the last of the school-wide
benchmarks in the Discovery Education Assessment Predictive Assessment Series. Results
from this test will be used to determine student progress towards meeting proficiency for the state
test (K-PREP) as well as eligibility for special programs and courses. Parents interested in
obtaining results from previous tests (PAS A and PAS B) should contact their child's advisor or
subject area teacher.
Arby's PTO Fundraiser--On Tues., Feb. 21, 5-8 P.M. Arby's will donate a portion of their
earnings to the LCMS PTO. So if you eat at Arby's on Feb. 21, be sure to let the cashier know
you are participating in the LCMS PTO fundraiser!
Pizza Hut Cheerleaders Fundraiser--On Tues., Feb. 21, Pizza Hut will donate a portion
of their earnings to the LCMS Cheerleading Squad. Be sure to fill out the Pizza Hut donation
form with your order!
BETA CLUB CONVENTION: On February 23-24, Beta Club students will be representing
LCMS at the annual state convention at the Galt House in Louisville. Click here for more
No School on Staff Work Days--There will be no school for students on Feb. 27, a
district-designated Staff Work Day (SWD). On SWDs, teachers and administrators work on
developing and refining curriculum, instruction, and assessment, receive training in instructional
and assessment strategies, and collaborate across schools (and grade levels) to vertically align
curriculum. Any question about these days can be directed to the district Director of Academic
Programs or the school principal.
IC Parent Portal Sessions: Parents interested in gaining an Infinite Campus (IC) account
to access their child's schedule, attendance information, assignments, grades, etc., should
contact LCMS's IC Portal Contact, Sarah Hagans to set up an individual appointment. Parents
who have lost user names and/or passwords, should bring a photo ID to LCMS to receive a new
