									CentEast Market Warsaw

May 21, 2008 The CentEast Market Warsaw, a regional film market held since 2005 during the Warsaw International Film Festival in October, is an event for film professionals specializing in films from Central and Eastern Europe.

At the CentEast Market Warsaw, we handle films from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, and Ukraine. The event's catalogue and the website www.centeast.eu contain information on the film industries of the countries in the region. The CentEast Market Warsaw is attended by film industry professionals: producers, representatives of film funds and institutes, distributors, film sales agents, TV buyers, festival programmers dealing with the Central and Eastern European film industry. Beside business meetings of film professionals, the CentEast Market Warsaw features presentations of works-in-progress, closed screenings of completed films, and discussion panels and workshops. Another important part of the CentEast Market Warsaw are the Warsaw Screenings, where foreign professionals can watch selected new Polish films. Apart from the October dates, we organize a summer edition of the Warsaw Screenings (June/July) targeted at programmers of film festivals held in the autumn. The long-term aim of the CentEast Market Warsaw is to foster international collaboration in the region and increase the market share of films from the region outside the countries of their production.
