June 26th, 2010, Lions Park, Eagle River, Alaska

Since 1981, the Alaskan Scottish Club has produced an annual Highland Games and Gathering of the Clans.
Over the years, thousands of Alaskans and visitors have enjoyed this exciting opportunity to learn about
Scottish culture through such venues as Highland dance performances, bagpipe competitions, unique
athletic field events, historical re-enactments, clan and genealogical booths, children’s activities, contests,
sheepdog herding demonstrations and more. We have attracted bands & athletes from the western region of
the US and Canada, as well as from New Zealand and Scotland.

The 29 Annual Alaska Scottish Highland Games will take place at Lions Park in Eagle River on June 26,
2010, and we look forward to continued growth and success. (We anticipate a gate of 4,000±.). Our post
games Ceilidh (BIG PARTY) will be on the field again this year, from 7:30 to Midnight; our featured
internationally known Celtic band this year is Still to be confirmed. Please note on the application whether
or not you would like to stay open during the Ceilidh which should attract an additional crowd of customers.
Our games have gained in popularity each year and one thing that makes them successful is the well-
rounded group of vendors who have provided food, crafts, gifts, entertainment and educational material.
Come celebrate with us!

Please feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns or ideas you may have, or if you would like to be
a sponsor and place an ad in this years commemorative program.

3. There are a limited number of electrical hookups available. Vendors requiring electricity will be taken
on a first come, first serve basis. Please check appropriate box on application regarding these needs
