Travel tops Australia's Bucket List!

Travel tops Australia’s Bucket List! We want to see more of the world before we leave it A new independent survey, commissioned by the NSW Trustee and Guardian, has revealed the number one thing Australians want to do in their lifetime is to travel non-stop for at least a year. ‘The Good Will Week Bucket List’ survey also showed travel was the most popular category with eight of the 10 goals listed all related to taking a holiday. Popular list items included running with the bulls in Spain and celebrating New Year’s in Time Square. The survey also found the top five travel destinations in order of preference were Australia, United States, England, France and New Zealand. Top ten things Australians want to do before they kick the bucket 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. The community education campaign Good Will Week (September 2026, 2009) runs each year to encourage those over the age of 18 to make or update their Will. “Travel is the most popular item on Australia’s bucket list but before Australians tick it off we are reminding them to make sure their affairs are in order by writing a Will. Forty-five per cent of adults in NSW don’t have a Will and new laws coming into effect in NSW will change who automatically inherits your assets if you don’t have one,” says Imelda Dodds, Acting CEO, NSW Trustee and Guardian. “Remember it doesn’t cost a thing to make or update your Will when you appoint NSW Trustee & Guardian as executor, and fees are charged on estate administration only,” she says.
