What Employees From Google, Facebook, Apple, Etc. Are Getting at Work

There must've been a different god
who created the Silicon Valley.

Why you may ask? As opposed to
the work life of normal, taco
vending Americans, companies at
the Silicon Valley makes it a point
to shower their employees with so
many perks and benefits that you'd
die to be one of their programmers
or at least their employees' sons or
daughters or dogs (yeah, really). IT
professionals today are dreaming of
leaving behind those days when they need to sell used iPhone just to get through another
month. Even young graduates are working their way into great IT companies like Google,
Facebook and Apple. Why? Here are the reasons...

Zynga Is a Play House

Known as one of the biggest gaming development companies in Silicon Valley, Zynga execs
makes it a point to pamper their employees... and their dogs too. Zynga's South of Market,
San Francisco headquarters is called "The Dog House" simply because pets can come and go as
they please. But don't worry, the place doesn't smell like dogs because they give free pet
grooming services. Yeah, your dog would surely want you to sell iPhone 4 plus your soul to get
that daily dog massage. Oh, they also have candy shops and free gourmet food!

Facebook Is a Food Nirvana

Aside from free dry cleaning services and getting to wear T-shirt and jeans to work, Facebook
employees do not have to sell iPhone units for cash because they reimburse your childcare bills
for up to $3,000. Their Menlo Park headquarters has a very wide courtyard where they have
people who roam around giving away free hotdogs and stuff. They have an annual game day
and they also get free haircuts. And just like Zynga, they get free food 24/7 (where you can
choose if you go Italian or Indian or Belize or whatever your tummy wants).

Twitter Serves TGIF

Just like Facebook, Twitter people can have their laundry dry cleaned at the office. But more
than alleviating you from you laundry tasks, execs at Twitter make sure you're fit too by
providing a rock climbing wall inside their San Francisco headquarters. They have catered
breakfast and lunch and a well-stocked kitchen. They also have a soccer team and Happy
Hour Fridays once a month!

Google Means Gold Perks

Everyone wants to be in Google because it's been number one in Fortune's 100 best companies
to work three times. They have a wave pool. Where on earth do you find offices with wave
pools? They made the gourmet-food-at-work trendy through their in house chefs who provide
dinner and lunch. They even have company bicycles and scooters. They have a car washer in
the office, a rock climbing wall, running trails, and spas. Aside from the free dry cleaning
services, they also give away free laundry machines. Go figure.

Apple Gives%u2026 Discounts

Because of the costly gadgets Apple offers the world, their employees are lucky enough to get
a Mac workstation in the office and discounts on MacBooks and iPads. To be more specific,
Apple geniuses get $500 off on Macs or $250 off on iPads. But, you only get discounts every
three years. Just recently, Apple rewarded their employees with a free 50GB iCloud storage
upgrade which normally comes at 5GB. But that's about it. I know what' you're thinking, if I
were an Apple employee I'd rather sell iPhone 4S and my discounted Mac and move over to
the Android makers because they have a freaking food truck inside their New York office!
