and how to solve Inequalities.
Firstly we need to understand is what does an Inequalities means in Maths ? An
inequality tells that two values are not equal. For example a ? b shows that a is
not equal to b.
Slope formula plays an important role in graphing linear inequalities. So we need
to know what slope formula means.
Slope of a line describes the steepness, incline or grade of the straight line. The
slope through the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given as slope formula.
( m = y2-y1/x2-x1 ) where x1 is not equal to x2.
In general slope intercept form denotes the formula : y = mx + b.

At last we need to draw lines on the graph using these above values. Point slope
refers to a method of graphing a linear equation on an x-y axis. Addition principle
for solving problems of Inequalities is - If a > b then a + c > b + c .
Consider an equation x + 5 < 0. On taking 5 to right hand side of less than
symbol, we get x < -5. On drawing graph of this inequality region below -5 will be
shaded as solution of this inequality.
On representing linear inequality on number line, there are two types of intervals
that are open interval and closed interval. In an open interval the end points or
coordinates are not involved in interval while in a closed interval end points are
considered in interval and considered to be a part of it. These points are
represented by closed points or filled circles on number line.
