Set Your Goals Imagine a world where people are achieving greatness in their lives, living life to the fullest and manifesting their dreams. At lululemon athletica, we believe Goal Setting is one of the tools we can use to elevate the world from mediocrity to greatness. It is a huge part of what makes us successful in conventional terms and, more importantly, happy, balanced, and motivated people. What have you always wanted to achieve but never started? Set your goals! STEP 3. SET SMART GOALS TO ENSURE SUCCESS. SMART goals must be written in the present tense and follow these guidelines: • Specific—be clear and specific about your goal. • Measurable—if you can’t measure it, it is difficult to achieve. • Attainable—make sure you are able to achieve the goal. STEP 1. BE TRUE TO YOURSELF. To achieve goals you must be passionate about them. You will be passionate about your goals if they have meaning for you. Consider the following before you begin: • What are your core values? • Where do you want to be in 10 years? • What do you want for your life? • What difference do you want to make in the world? STEP 2. BALANCED GOALS FOR A BALANCED LIFE. Set your goals in all areas of your life: • Career • Health • Personal STEP 4. SHARE YOUR GOALS AND BUILD SUPPORT. Whether it’s your friends, family or colleagues, the more people are aware of your goals, the more they can support you. At lululemon, all employees set goals and either post them in the backrooms of the stores or in the halls of the head office. • Realistic—is this goal feasible given your effort levels and tendencies? • Timely—write a specific date so when it comes, you can check off completion of the goal.
