For the past 58 years, Hanover College’s Community Arts
Series (CAS) has brought nationally and internationally
renowned performing artists and guest speakers to
our campus, to entertain and enrich the cultural life
of southeastern Indiana. The 2010-11 year promises to
continue this historic and rich tradition.
Leading off will be the famous Second City comedy
troupe from Chicago, known since its founding in 1952
as the starting place for most of the household names
in American comedy – names such as Joan Rivers, John
Belushi, Bill Murray, Mike Myers, Chris Farley, and more
recently Steve Carell, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler. I have traveled to Chicago
on many occasions to see this group at Chicago prices, but you can see
them this September at Hanover College for only $12, even less if you are a
season subscriber!
