Adding an OASIS Course Cheat Sheet Page 1 of 3

For starters, load the Online Grading application in a web browser.
Currently, Internet Explorer 7.0 is the only officially supported web browser.

Test URL: http://starstest.acad.mcw.edu/StudentGradesPortal/Default.aspx
Sign into the Online Grading application by clicking on the Sign In link in the top right of the screen.
The Online Grading application uses your MCWCORP credentials for authentication. This means, if you are
logged into a computer which is on the secure, collaborative network (MCWCORP), the Online Grading
application will automatically use the credentials you entered when logging into your computer. As a result, no
login box should appear, and you should be taken directly to the Course List page.
In the event you are prompted for a username, password and/or domain; enter your MCWCORP username and password.
For Windows XP users, enter your username in the form MCWCORP\<your username>. For Windows 2000 users, enter just
your username in the username field, and MCWCORP in the domain field.
On the Course List page, you will see all of the courses which you have access to edit and submit grades for. The
following screen shot shows an example.
If you are currently not assigned to any course, you will receive the following message.

At any time, you can click the Add Course button to add a new course into the Online Grading application from
OASIS. Once you click the Add Course button, a dialog will appear showing you a list of applicable M1 and M2
courses which you can add to the Online Grading application.
The rules placed around which courses you can add are:
1) You must be configured as a Course Coordinator or Course Administrator/Director in OASIS for the
course.
2) The course must not already exist within the Online Grading application.
3) You are only permitted to add courses from the current academic year.
4) The course drop down is filter by M-Year
Based on the above criteria, you may or may not have any applicable courses to add to the Online Grading
application. In this event, the Add Course dialog will look like the following.
Otherwise, if you have at least one applicable course which you can add to the Online Grading application, the
dialog will look like the following.
Select the desired course from the course drop down, and click the Add Course button. This will kick off the
process which creates all the necessary back-end pieces which allow you to edit the selected course within the
Online Grading application. While the process is working, the buttons and screen will be disabled.
