									                       Director of Operations

Essential Responsibilities:

      Work directly with Master Calendar in scheduling Athletic Facility for
       Department of Athletics and Athletic facilities
      Monitor Athletic Facilities, ensure appropriate coverage of each to
       minimize potential risk, and submit work orders as needed
      Will serve as point person for athletic facility usage for outside renters
      Work directly with General Counsel regarding contracts
      Direct contact for all Athletic Department transportation
      Work directly with Risk Management in regard to liability paperwork
      Attend campus CEAC weekly meetings
      Attend Safety committee meetings on behalf of the department of athletics
      Attend athletic facility related meetings as requested by the Director of
       Athletics regarding existing facilities and capital projects
      Directly responsible for meeting the facility needs of a prioritized list of
       constituencies (varsity athletes, club sport participants, intramural
       participants, student body and whenever possible outside rentals)
      Directly responsible for oversight and coverage of outside rentals and
       communication with on-campus offices (Campus Safety, Campus Dining,
       Student Affairs, General Counsel)
      Directly responsible for determining competitive pricing and initial
       negotiations with outside vendors regarding rentals
      Accountable for reaching pre-determined rental quotas each fiscal year
      Directly responsible for growing outside rental revenue with the least
       amount of interference to student participation
      Maintain appropriate records and files regarding inventory, contracts, and
       insurance documents
      Daily inspection of athletic facilities
      Point person for fitness center and athletic facility maintenance with
       outside vendors
      Manage the daily operations of Club Sports and Intramurals
      Work directly with Director of Athletics in implementing and adhering to
       policies and procedures for Club Sports and Intramurals
      Work directly with HR and AD in adhering to policies and procedures in
       hiring instructors for Club Sports
      Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Athletics

A Bachelor’s degree in sports administration or related field is required. The
position requires a high level of individual responsibility, the ability to manage
multiple tasks simultaneously, and a willingness to work nights and weekends
when necessary. Must have strong communication skills, both written and
verbal. Must have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience (previous
experience in higher education preferred).
