Burlington Hoops Basketball Club Announces its Board of Directors At its’ first Annual General Meeting on Monday, November 3rd the Club membership of BHBC appointed its inaugural Board of Directors. Following a membership-wide call for nominations and open election process, the Club is now excited to announce its elected representatives for the 2008/2009 season: Club President, Brent Scowen; Vice-President & Secretary, Rosemary Smiarowski; Vice- President & Treasurer, Andrew Mullins; Director Marketing, Communications & Community Relations, Rob LaJoie; Director Coaching Development, Gord McNeice; Director Operations, Lisa Haney; and Director Tournaments, Kim Friday. The Burlington Hoops Basketball Club is a non-for-profit, member-based sports organization and is the city of Burlington’s premier basketball club offering rep team playing opportunities for male and female athletes from Novice (U10) to Junior (U19). Burlington Hoops 180 players and 15 teams compete in Basketball Ontario sanctioned tournaments in communities across the province under the name Burlington Skyhawks. Coached by a team of the best, most experienced and successful basketball coaches in the City of Burlington, the Skyhawks are focused on the fundamentals of individual and team skill development in a fun, rewarding environment that develops leaders on and off the court.
