• Test: Reading and Numeracy
• Writing – teacher assessment
• Science – Sample schools
• At the end of Key Stage 2

Level 4: Expected level for most
primary children
Level 5: More Able
» Each level is also split into 3 sub levels with c the bottom
end of the level and a the top end
• 15 minutes reading every night –
yellow journal
• Spellings – Monday
• Literacy/Numeracy/Science/Topic
• Homework club Tuesday lunch time
• Homework Diaries
• If you opted for your child to sit the PESE
(11+) tests, these were completed earlier
this term, results are due 17th October
• Your child should have brought home a
booklet about secondary transfer last
week.
• Do make sure you visit each school and find
out what it is really like.
