Cross country club letter Sept 11

Dear Parents, Carers and Runners!

I propose to organise and run a cross-country club on Wednesday afternoons after school until half-term. The
club will take place from 4.00pm to 5.00pm starting on Wednesday 21st September, meeting at the footbridge
over the River Otter just south of the main road (Grid reference: 095950).

If you are willing for your child to take part in the club, you will take responsibility for your child getting to the
venue and getting home after the club finishes. The conditions may be wet and muddy and children should have
suitable clothing and footwear for running alongside the river.

The club will be open for children in years 3 to 6. How many children can join the club will depend on you! If any
parents would like to come and join in the fun (no running experience required) it will mean more children will be
able to take part. Selection for who can join the club will be on a first come, first served (Children of helpers will
get top priority). Once I have reply slips in I will then inform children of who is in the club. These children will
receive another letter confirming their place in the club next Monday 19th September. Unsuccessful applicants
will be placed on a waiting list.

If you are willing for your child to take part, or if you wish to come along and help, please complete the reply slip
below and return to me as soon as possible
