Writing an information Report
What is an Information Report?
An information Report is a written document which gives facts about
either a living or non-living thing. This may also include diagrams, photos,
maps or drawings
Title: The title tells the reader what the report is about
Introduction (Thesis): This is usually a definition or general information
about what you are writing about. You will prove or strengthen your thesis
in the body of your writing.
Body: The body will consist of SUBTOPICS that organizes your report. Ex....
What? What is it? Describe what your topic looks like. What is the
size, shape, colour, etc. Diagrams and pictures are useful in this section of

More Information: What other information can you include that is
relevant to your topic?
Closing Statement: Complete your report with a broad general statement
or a personal judgement about the topic.
