Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s):
Welcome to Waldon Woods Elementary School!
We are looking forward to a very exciting and rewarding school year. Your child will have
the opportunity to be educated by instructors who are committed to a high quality education. You
will begin to hear about whether the children are friendly, what the teachers are like here, the
quality of the lunches served, and whether Waldon Woods is easier or harder than the school
he/she previously attended. We would like to think that after the first ten days of school all
students will feel like veteran Mustangs.
We are pleased to have you as partners in this educational year. As the year progresses, and
as you become either more informed, we encourage you to call the school and talk with those who
might be of help. If your question relates to in-class events, please ask to speak with the classroom
instructor. If it deals with the overall program, curriculums, or activities of the schoolhouse, please
feel free to contact me or the assistant principal directly.
One of our goals is to see that parents and guardians of students- like the students
themselves- feel at home at Waldon Woods. To accomplish that, Parent Newsletters and
telephone call-out messages are sent to all students monthly throughout the school year, providing
you with information about events and activities at the school. By reading the newsletters and
listening to the call-out messages, you will have a better idea of what to expect.
We are glad to have you with us this year, and we want to assure you that we will do our
best to help your child experience academic, social, and emotional growth this school year. With
your assistance and cooperation, this should be an excellent school year.
