WHAT IS YOUTH DAY?
Youth Day is held annually on the Thursday ~ it is a school day ~ as a precursor to the main
Congress weekend. It is a day filled with speakers, music, comedians, etc. that come together to
spread Gods Word to our youth. High school students from many different backgrounds from
throughout the Archdiocese -- and beyond -- come together to participate in morning and
afternoon workshops, culminating in a Youth Rally.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Youth Day is designed for all students from public and Catholic schools, grades 9 through 12.
The theme for the day is "GODBOOK: Everyone Invited!" The emphasis is really that everyone
is invited to be part of God’s social network. We want to focus on the “Everyone Invited” part,
as well as the Godbook part.
The registration fee for Youth Day 2009 is $55 by Sunday, December 12, 2010.
St. Ann Church is planning on attending this marvelous event. We welcome ALL high school
students to attend – yes – even 12th graders.
We will be leaving from St. Ann parking Wednesday, March 16th @ 3:00pm. We will be staying on
a hotel that night near the Convention Center.
We will attend Youth Day on Thursday and return home approximately 9pm.
The youth will be transported by private vehicles and we will need drivers & chaperones.
Second year Confirmandes ~ if you did not attend the July Youth Day in San Diego or October
Youth Day in Visalia, you must attend this event.
