TOWN ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT
October 29, 2008
The Ashby Board of Health and the Nashoba Associated Boards of Health are now holding three flu
shot clinics; an additional clinic has been added for evening hours:
1. Tuesday, November 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Library
2. Thursday, November 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall
3. Tuesday, November 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Townsend Memorial Hall
The Assessors’ office hours at Town Hall have been changed to 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Monday
through Friday or by appointment.
There will be a Special Town Meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Ashby
Elementary School Gymnasium. The Selectmen have been posted for a meeting during their off week
at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5th to sign the warrant masters for this Special Town Meeting.
There will be a Public Forum sponsored by the Public Safety Facilities Advisory Committee on
Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Board of Selectmen Meeting Room at
Town Hall. A flyer regarding this question and answer session is being mailed out to all postal
patrons in Town.
There will be a Vision and Strategy Team Forum and Community Development Block Grant hearing
at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Ashby Free Public Library. The Selectmen have
been posted to attend.
The Board of Selectmen received copies of a Notice of Vacancy posting for the North Middlesex
Regional School Committee resulting from Dennis Moore’s resignation. Anyone interested should
forward a letter of interest on or before November 10, 2008 to the Town Administrator, 895 Main
Street, Ashby, MA 01431 or send an email to email@example.com. The tentative appointment date
is November 12, 2008.
The Ashby Recycling Center Transfer Station will next be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on
Saturdays, November 8th and 22nd. The RCTS has a Book Donation Drop-off container located at the

5’x8’ Funeral American Flag donations for the cemeteries in Town would be appreciated. Anyone
interested in making a donation please contact Bill Seymour, Sr. at 386-5532.
