Salary: Within the range £18,186 to £20,049 per annum, pro rata
Salary Scale: Business Support Scale 4

Hours of work: 17.5 hours per week (5.15 am to 8.45 am)
Pension: Optional contributory final salary pension scheme
Holiday: 20 days per annum pro rata, rising one day pro rata per year worked.
Maximum 25 days pro rata, plus Bank Holidays and special closure days
at Christmas/ New Year

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Oversee the work of the Cleaning Team, actively monitoring the standard of cleaning
being undertaken each day, and ensuring daily cleaning schedules are completed
2 Manage any issues relating to poor cleaning standards or non-compliance with the
3 Deal with staff performance issues.
4 Deal with complaints relating to cleaning standards, providing a response to the
complainant and advising the Facilities Admin Assistant of action taken.
5 Deploy resources according to cleaning need, ensuring any problem areas are dealt
with in a timely manner. Make plans for sufficient cover during periods of holiday and
ensure effective deployment when sickness absence occurs.
6 Undertake induction and training of new cleaning staff.
7 Check stock levels in cleaning cupboards, advising Facilities Supervisor of any
8 Issue keys to the cleaning team and ensure they are returned daily.
9 Comply with Health and Safety at all times and ensure cleaning staff adhere to safe

Education and Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Recent manual handling
