The Isle of Portland Aldridge Community Academy will open in September 2012. The Academy will offer an all-through, stage-not-
age education for students aged 4-19 and will incorporate Portland's secondary school and the majority of its feeder infant and
The Academy, with its distinct entrepreneurial ethos and specialisms in Environmental Science and Sports Science, will support the
development of self-starting, highly motivated and confident learners.
The Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring MFL teacher to teach German, with the ability to offer French or
Spanish. The successful applicant will be expected to teach across all years and abilities and there are likely to be opportunities to
deliver MFL to primary-aged pupils in addition to secondary pupils. Applications are particularly welcomed from Newly Qualified

Please note that the position being advertised is in the first instance to join the existing team of the predecessor school Royal Manor
Arts College. As an employee of the Academy Trust, there is the possibility that the successful candidate will be required to work
across different school sites during, and as a result of, the development of the new Academy. Please note that the job description may
be subject to change with the development of the Academy. This position is therefore suited to an individual who will show flexibility
and commitment to the development of the Academy during this transition stage.
