2009-10 QEIA CLASS SIZE REDUCTION SUMMARY REPORT INSTRUCTIONS GRADE 6-12
Check the box that describes the school’s 2009-10 CSR Implementation Plan. Include specific grade level
and /or content area information, if applicable. Interim targets 2009-10 are based on making progress
toward the CSR target for 2010-11. Schools are allowed some flexibility in defining how the two-third
requirements are met. Some examples of how CSR interim targets can be met for the 2009-10 school year
Reducing all core classes* by two-thirds of the required reduction each year (2/3 target).
Reducing the class size in core classes of two-thirds of the school’s grade levels to the full 2010-
2011 target class size.
Reducing the class size of two-thirds of all core classes to the full 2010-2011 full target class size
*Core Subjects include English Language Arts/English Language Development, Math, History/Social Studies,
Science, and intervention courses that support the core subjects.
Enter the grade level class size reduction targets for 2009-10 based on the Implementation Plan described
in Step One.
Enter the total number of core classes/sections based on the plan described in Step One. (Core
Subjects/Self Contained Settings, do not include Special Education classes).
Enter the number of core classes/sections at each grade level meeting the 2009-10 target based on the
Average Daily Enrollment (ADE) for those classes / sections identified in Step One.
Enter the TOTAL number of core classes/sections at each grade level.
Based on the classes/sections described in Step One, enter the Average Daily Enrollment by grade level
using either Method A or Method B. For grade levels not addressed in the Implementation Plan, indicate
Complete and sign the certification form.
