e1 Tips and Hints – Generating a Care and Welfare
List for Evolve
When classes go on a school trip it is important to have care and welfare information
to hand. These can easily be created through data which is
already held on e1.
e1 holds existing reports (sometimes known as ad hoc
reports) which are reports that have been custom made at
either Local Authority or School level. Existing reports can
all be generated and used as they are or exported to Excel
From the menu bar on the left-hand side click on
Select the focus – Pupils, the type of report – Grid, and the access – For this
school only (Note – if this report is not seen in this location, please check with your office
A list of reports that have been created will open.
Tick the report that you wish to use (in this case Evolve Care and Welfare Offsite
Excursions) and click on ‘Generate’.
A search option will open to enable you to select the pupils that are going on the trip.
You can either search by individual class or year group on the basic search screen
and choose that whole class or individuals, then click on search;
or if you wish to include groups from more than one class or year group – choose the
group tab (marked in red at the top on the screen shot above). Here, by using the
Ctl key and left hand mouse button you can choose more than one class. Then click
The search brings up the pupils from the class or group you have selected. To
select all the pupils, tick the very top box or you can just cherry pick those pupils you
wish to include.
Click on view report at the bottom of the screen.
The report will open. Scroll to the foot of the report and choose
the XLS option, to export the report to Excel.
Save the Excel document to a place that you will be able to locate it easily. Exit e1.
