“Colorful Palettes of Spring” Class Schedule
Students will play with color as they discover what it is and why artists chose specific colors. As Spring pops into bloom we will look
to nature for inspiration. We will go outside to draw and soak up the many colors of Spring. Your artist will continue to develop their
artistic style and skills while they dive deep into color! Mediums to be used will be painting, drawing, oil pastels, water color, collage
and much more.
Monday (7 Art Classes) April 16th – June 4th Classes will not meet on:
5:00-6:00 Group (6 – 9 year olds) May 28th
6:00-7:00 Group (8-11 year olds)
Thursday (9 Art Classes) April 12th – June 7 1 hour group classes: $20 (plus $10 supply fee)
4:30-5:30 Group (6-9 year olds) (07) Classes @$20 = $140
5:30-7:00 Group (10-13 year olds) (09) Classes @$20 = $180
1.5 hour group class: $25 (plus $10 supply fee)
(9) Classes @$25 = $225
To reserve a space for the Spring Semester,
send a deposit of $100 with your registration by March 30th. Pay in full and receive an additional 10% discount off the class fee.
After March 30th the discount will not apply.
SUMMER ART CAMPS (Cost per Camp $300)
Adventures in the Jungle – 9:30am-4:00pm
Ages 6-9 (Must be a rising 1 grader) - Camp Week #1- June 25, 2012 – June 29, 2012
Watch delightful monkeys and graceful jaguars come alive as students learn how to paint, draw, and sculpt these exotic jungle
creatures. The animal kingdom also includes reptiles, birds and insects. We will creatively depict these inhabitants while we delight
in the many textures, fauna and foliage found in this fragile environment. Student will learn to appreciate this delicate ecosystem
and the need to preserve it.
Secrets of Summer- 9:30am-4:00pm
Ages 8—11 (MUST be a rising 3rd grader) - Camp Week #2 - July 16, 2012 – July 20, 2012
When I go to the beach, I put my sunglasses on and what do I see? Plunge into the secrets of summer fun with art. We will use
painting, drawing, sculpting, and collage to “reveal” the secrets of summer. Ideas and possibilities for summer adventure include
pools, beaches, summer sports, picnics, family vacations, fireworks, theme parks and summer sunsets. What will your sunglasses
“Fashionista” for a Week-9:30am-4:00pm
Ages 9-12 (must be rising 4 grader) - Camp Week #2 - July 23, 2012 – July 27, 2012
What if you could merge fashion and your own art? Clothing and style go hand in hand as a way to express artistic individuality. We
will use different mediums such as painting/printing on fabric, collage, drawing, and sewing to design different accessories and
outfits inspired by your inner “Fashionista”! We will look at fashion trends and fads through the ages, inspiring your own “Runway”
look as we go Vogue!
Registration on a first come/first served basis. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is due for all Camp sessions by June 1st
and the remaining balance is due by June 15th. Registration Forms can be found on-line at www.firstmarks.com.
