Open to All. Run under Riding Club Rules.
Class 1 Intro. Test A Walk and Trot. Combination not to have won a dressage test.
Class 2 Prelim 4 Open to All.
Class 3 Prelim 14 Combination not to have won any ‘BD’ points. Qualifier see below.
Class 4 Novice 27 Open to all. For Qualifier horse to have no more than 49 BD points.
The cumulative results for horse and rider will be added for each show, and an award will be presented to the
combination with the most points, in both Prelim and Novice, at the AGM in November.
West Somerset and Devon Dressage Championship 2012
The first two competitors in classes 3 and 4 will qualify for the West Somerset and Devon Dressage
Championships to be held at Stockland Lovell on Saturday 20th October 2012. To be eligible, horses in the Prelim
class must have no BD points, and those in the Novice class no more than 49 BD points at the time of the
qualification. Riders must also be a member of one of the following Area 12 Riding Clubs: Witheridge, Taunton &
District, West Somerset, Exeter, Quantock, Sid & Otter Valley, North Devon or Blackdown Hills. The winners of the
championships will receive a training grant with the trainer of their choice for a minimum of £50 and other prizes will

Show Jumping will be 2 phase – if clear carry straight on to jump off, a bell will ring if not clear.
Clear Round 10am - 11.30 am
Class 5 Approx 60cm Combination not to have been placed 1st in a Show jumping competition
Class 6 Approx 75cm Combination not to have won a money prize in Show Jumping
Class 7 Approx 80cm Open
Class 8 Approx 80 –90cm Open
COMBINED TRAINING COMPETITION
One dressage test and first round score for Show Jumping to count - jumping faults deducted from dressage score.
Class 9 Dressage from class 1 : Show Jumping Class 5
Class 10 Dressage from class 2 : Show Jumping Class 6
Class 11 Dressage from class 3 : Show Jumping Class 7
Class 12 Dressage from Class 4 : Show jumping from Class 8
(All Classes will be split into Juniors and Seniors if enough entries)

Dressage £6 for EDRC members and £7 non members. Advance entries only.
Combined Training extra charge of £2, pay entry fee for Dressage and Show jumping and then add an extra £2 to
cover the combined training, please state on the entry form which class you wish to enter.
Show Jumping entry fee £6 for EDRC members and £7 non-members. (£1 extra on the day).

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RULES – PLEASE READ
By entering this competition, competitors accept the risks involved in horse riding and competing. Save for death or
injury caused by the negligence of the landowner or officials of Exeter and District Riding Club for which they are
legally responsible, the landowners and officials will not accept any liability for any accident, loss, injury or damage
to competitors, property, vehicles, animals or spectators of any description.
This event is covered by British Riding Club’s insurance but competitors are advised to hold their own personal
injury insurance cover.
The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to safeguard the health and safety of everyone present. For these
to be effective, competitors and spectators are required to take due care at all times and to obey any notices or
requests made by official stewards in the interests of their own and others safety.
Hats to current British Safety Standards must be worn and securely fastened when mounted. Dress code in
accordance with BRC rules, a copy of which will be available at the Secretary’s Office.
The judges decision is final. Objections must be made to the Secretary’s Office within 15 minutes of the results or
incident with a £10 deposit. The deposit will be reimbursed if the objection is upheld.
Please keep dogs on a lead at all times, including around the lorry park.
Please remove litter and droppings from field.
No lunging allowed in warm up area.
The organiser reserves the right to alter the schedule or advertised start time, refuse any entry and cancel any class or
competition should conditions be or become unsuitable.
All horses/ponies must be 4 years old and over. No horse can be entered twice in one class.
