POSITION TITLE:     Supply Clerk (f/m), 38.5 hours per week. Temporary sick-leave replacement.
                    Angestellte/r (Materialverwaltung), 38,5 Std/Woche.

MAJOR DUTIES:

The purpose of this position is to perform receiving inspections of local purchase/base supply
property, and to store and issue this property.

        Base Civil Engineer accountable supply specialist: member of the team responsible for the
         acquisition, receipt, distribution, storage, inventory, and disposition of all civil engineer
         material. This team acts as a liaison between civil engineering, contracting, and Logistics
         Readiness Squadron personnel. Requisitions items using various acquisition and supply
         software systems, assigns required priority based on urgency of need, and performs
         necessary follow-up actions.
        Warehouse receiving, storage, and issuing of supplies: checks received items against order
         documents for correct specifications, quantity, condition, stock number, unit of issue and
         like data. Stores received items appropriately, ensuring easy access for issue and inventory,
         assigns storage locations and enters location into data base. Issues material from bench
         stock, holding and bulk storage, ensuring 100% accountability for property.

     Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program: Receives GPC purchase requests from Chief of
      Logistics and/or upper management. Researches, consolidates, and summarizes cost
      comparison for GPC purchase; maintains purchase log documenting vendor, date, item
      description and cost (in Euro and US Dollar) and tracks actual cost using specific software.
     Hazardous Material Reporting: Processes and controls hazardous material through
      databases such as CEMAS and EMIS. Coordinates all hazardous material requirements with
      applicable shop supervisors, to ensure proper documentation and authorization have been
      obtained prior to any acquisition action. Maintains data base as designated by Wing HazMat
      Pharmacy. Provides a total and complete range of research, assistance, and advice to shops,
      supervisors, and planners on hazardous or potentially hazardous material requests.
      Administers the hazardous material shelf life program, ensuring property does not expire
      prior to use and oversees the effective collection of technical data.
     Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for
      equipment and/or parts requiring special handling. Responds to specific case requests from
      offices/individuals desiring additional identification data, verification, and /or comparison of
      one-of-a-kind items or when deviations from normal supply procurement and acquisition
      programs are required. Expedites delivery of urgently required items through
      correspondence and/or telephone calls to inventory control points, manufacturers, or other
      organizations. Coordinates actions with transportation, production, or other supply units.

  QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFIZIERUNGSANFORDERUNGEN:

     ELP Level 2: A good command of the English language is required.

     Education and Training Level II a: An intermediate secondary school diploma is required.
      /Mittlerer Bildungsabschluss ( ”Mittlere Reife”) ist erforderlich.
      OR
      Education and Training Level II b: A completed apprenticeship with certificate of completion
      is required. / Eine abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung (jeglicher Art) ist erforderlich.
           o Experience Requirements for pay grade C-4A: 1 year of creditable experience.
     Education and Training Level III a: An intermediate secondary school diploma PLUS a
      completed apprenticeship with certificate of completion is required. / Ein Mittlerer
      Bildungsabschluss PLUS eine abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung sind erforderlich.
           o Experience requirements for pay grade C-4A: none.

     Acceptable Creditable Experience includes any type of work or activity of an applicant that
      has provided the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the
      major tasks of the position for which considered.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS/ZUSATZQUALIFIKATIONEN:

     Must be in possession of a German driver’s license Class B.
     Must be able to obtain GOV driver’s license to operate government owned vehicles.
     Proficiency in MS Office software is required.

         Work is subject to occasional lifting/moving of items weighing up to 50 lbs.

MAJOR DUTIES:

   The primary purpose of this position is to use multiple office automation software with varied functions
   to produce a wide range of documents to provide miscellaneous clerical support to the Commander’s
   Support Staff.
    Receives and directs telephone calls and visitors.
    Uses varied functions of multiple office automation software to produce a wide range of documents,
       formats, etc. Assists in developing training aids for use by office members and providing them with
       hands-on training. Assists in developing look and format of reports and in identifying and solving
       problems in existing methods and procedures.
    Prepares a wide variety of recurring correspondence, internal reports, and other documents.
    Reviews and processes incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations,
       and directives. Establishes suspense dates, using automated schedulers, and bring
    Establishes, updates, and maintains office record of various types that may be needed or will assist in
       the efficient operation of the office. Maintains, purges, and disposes of office records/files in
       accordance with Air Force regulations and procedures. Updates tracker and suspense files as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFIZIERUNGSANFORDERUNGEN:

      ELP Level 3: An excellent command of the English language is required.

      Education and Training Level III a: Secondary level school diploma plus a completed apprenticeship
       in an administrative occupation that is closely related to the position./Mittlere Reife und eine

      Experience Requirements: for pay grade C-5

       gained at one level below the grade for which considered.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS/ZUSATZQUALIFIKATIONEN:

      Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office
       operations and produce a variety of sometimes complex documents, such as letters, reports,
       spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
      Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to accurately
       prepare and edit written correspondence and reports.
      Knowledge of formats, rules, procedures, or operations applied to clerical assignments to perform
       the routine, procedural work of the office, such as preparing and editing documents, maintaining
       files/records, screening telephone calls and visitors, processing mail, planning, organizing, and
       carrying out assignments and composing routine, non-technical information for recurring reports and
       inquiries.
      Skill in typing: a qualified typist is required.
      Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy. A very good
       command of the German language is required.
      Ability to locate, select, organize, and provide information in oral or written form in accordance with
       established rules, regulations, procedures, and office automation practices.
