Dear Adopt-A-Spot Sponsor,

We all know how important mulch is helping to help keep weeds under control and hold moisture in the
soil. If your site needs mulch, the City offers recycled mulch to residents at no charge.

Mulch can be picked up at the City Landfill located at the end of Marion Street and Canal Road. In order
to pick up your mulch, you will need to bring a pick-up truck to the Landfill, and if a Loader is available,
the City will load it into your truck. If a Loader is not at the landfill, you will need to load the mulch
yourself. To ensure that a Loader will be available to help you, contact the Street Department at 807-1410
to obtain the schedule of the loader.

The recycled mulch should be available April through October, Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M.
to 11:00 A.M and 12:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M.

When asked to sign for the mulch, please state that the mulch is being used for the City of Lafayette’s
Adopt-A-Spot Program, and include the location of your site.

If you have any questions, please contact me at cbodin@lafayette.in.gov
or call 807-1385.

Thank you!
