Jeremy Young is currently working as a reporter and producer for Al Jazeera English
television. He actively covers both Latin America, the Pentagon and military affairs for
He just recently returned from assignment for 5 weeks in the Gaza Strip covering the
region after the 22 day war with Israel. Last year he was assigned to the US elections and
traveled throughout the country to report on a wide range of issues that were facing
Americans during an election year.
Previously Jeremy was an investigative producer for WNBC in New York. There he won
numerous awards for both investigative stories as well as long format documentaries.
Jeremy produced an hour long program about the Joint Terrorist Task Force in New York
City which included on camera interview by some of the nations top counter-terrorism
officials within the FBI. Many of those individuals had never appeared in on-camera
interviews prior to the show.
Jeremy’s first job after graduating Emory University was with a documentary unit at
MSNBC. Following the attacks of September 11th, Jeremy traveled to Pakistan and
Afghanistan to report and field produce for both MSNBC and NBC News. He was based
in the Tora Bora region during some of the fiercest fire fights between US backed local
forces and Taliban/Al Qaeda soldiers. He also shot exclusive video of Ground Zero on
September 14th, only 3 days after the attacks.
Jeremy graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International
Studies and Journalism in 2000. He currently resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife
