THE PROGRAMME IT sector has been identified as one of potential growth and there is ample scope for development of IT based entrepreneurship esp. in the field of hardware training. Computer and related accessories are the most important part of the IT system. Hardware is a popular expression for the physical parts making up any Electronic Equipment, particularly, as in computers, when it is desired to distinguish them from software. Hardware includes chip and circuit design, computer architecture, and peripheral integration. Hardware involves production and assembly of components for computer systems and peripherals. Hardware manufacture is an established industry with fast-moving research inputs. Despite commoditisation happening, it remains a growth industry. Computer maintenance is the area where many professionals have made their mark because of the growing need. The job of a computer maintenance person is to ensure the smooth functioning of machines. In cases of breakdowns, the engineer should be able to rectify the faults. As long as machines will be used, they will need people who fix them when they break down!
