Vice President and General Manager
Cox Communications, Inc. Cleveland
A 20-year veteran of the cable television and broadband industry, Doris is the vice president and
general manager for Cox Communications in Cleveland. Previously, she was the vice president of
operations for Cox in Southern Arizona.
Since joining the cable television industry in 1988, Doris has held several marketing and
programming management positions with leading companies, such as Comcast Cable, Tele-
Communications International Inc., Liberty Media International, United Artists Cable and ATC
(Time-Warner Cable), On Command Corporation and Velocom Inc. She also led her own
consulting practice in marketing operations, content acquisition and negotiation for U.S. and
international cable companies.
She currently serves on the Outward Bound Wilderness Board. In Southern Arizona, Doris served
on the Pima County Bond Advisory Committee, the Board of Trustees for Tucson Regional
Economic Opportunities, Inc. (TREO) and sat on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan
Chamber of Commerce. Previously served as an online E-classroom expert for Penn State and
Michigan State University in 1999 and 2000 and was a member of the Fulbright Commission
(Argentina) in 1997 and 1998.
In 2006, Doris was honored with a Rosa Parks Living History Makers award in the business
category. The award was given by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored
People (NAACP) and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).
She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Long Island University and a
Bachelor of Arts degree from City College of New York.
