Hatch End, Middlesex, HA5 4PH.
11am - 4:30pm Admission £1 (accompanied children under 12 free)
Plant and Book Sales by John Pilbeam.
Members Plant Sales, Free Expert Advice on Cultivation.
Tombola and Light Refreshments.
PROGRAMME
Hall Open 8:00 am.
Staging of Exhibits 9:00 - 11:00 am.
Judging (John Pilbeam) 11:00 am. onwards
Open to the Public 11:00 - 4:30 pm.
Presentations 4:00 pm.
Destaging of Exhibits 4:30 – 6:00 pm.
Note - staging of exhibits must be finished by 11:00am, to allow judging to commence promptly
NO SMOKING OR ALCOHOL TO BE CONSUMED WITHIN THE SHOW HALL
SHOW RULES
1. Classes may be entered only by members of the British Cactus and Succulent Society (BCSS).
2. More than one entry may be made in each class.
3. No fee is made for entry and no prize money will be awarded.
4. Plants must be the personal property of the exhibitor; jointly owned entries will be accepted in the family name.
5. No pot may contain more than one plant, except where plants are grafted or in classes within a specified area.
6. Pot sizes given in the Schedule are the maximum allowed and are measured inside the rim to within 1/8" (3mm).
7. Final staging/arranging of exhibits is left to authorised Show Stewards. No staging of plants allowed after 11am.
8. Plant classification and judging will be in accordance with the BCSS "Handbook of Shows", 9th Edition 2003.
9. Objections must be handed to the Show Secretary (or Chairperson) by 3pm, the Judge's reviewed decision is final.
10. All cups and trophies are perpetual challenge awards and remain the property of the Harrow Branch BCSS.
11. Trophy winners may be required to sign a receipt, and undertake to return awards in good time for the next show.
12. Any award may be withheld by the Judge if there are no entries of sufficient merit.
13. Liability for Loss: All exhibits, personal property, etc… are displayed at the owner's risk and no responsibility is
accepted for loss or damage by any cause whatsoever, although normal care will be taken.
14. Entry in the show constitutes acceptance of these Rules.

MEMBERS' SALES PLANTS
Please note - all sales plants must carry a label with the price and vendor's name in addition to the plant-name
label.
Money will be returned to the vendor less a 15% commission for the Branch (please note payment back to
vendor is unlikely to take place on the day of the show).

SHOW LOCATION
The show is in Hatch End, located jointly in the Scout and Guide Huts, off Grimsdyke Road,
behind the parade of shops, along the A410 Uxbridge Road. Ample free parking is located
adjacent to the show halls, as indicated on the map below. Enter car park via Grimsdyke Road.

Visitors are welcome at our monthly meetings, see back page for programme of events. Meetings
are held at St. Anselm’s Church Hall, Uppingham Avenue, Stanmore, Middlesex, HA7 2HU.
Park on the surrounding streets, or in the church car park which is in Ventnor Avenue.

BRANCH PROGRAMME 2010
Regular meetings are held in St. Anselm’s Church Hall, Uppingham Avenue, Stanmore,
Middlesex, HA7 2HU. Meetings open at 7:30pm for an 8pm start on the second Friday
of each month (unless advised otherwise).
