    Increased CO2 production
    Decrease in minute ventilation
    Increase in dead space ventilation

Ph Change
Acute hypercapnic: pH decreases by 0.08 for every 10 mm Hg rise in CO2
Chronic hypercapnic: pH decreases by 0.03 for every 10 mm Hg rise in CO2
