There will be a different hour long demonstration every day at noon and 1:00 p.m. Attend one or all. Cost
is $10.00 per class. Please call ahead for reservations (970-495-1766) as space is limited.

Sunday July 15th
New Product Introduction (1:00 to 2:00 p.m.) – This one is free!
Join Laura in the classroom as she previews new products introduced at Quilt Market. This will include
tools, patterns and books. She will share her views on new trends and exciting finds from her trip.

Monday July 16th
Braid in a Day (Noon to 1:00 p.m.)
Come let us show you how easy it is to make a braid using pre-cut 2 ½” strips or 2 ½” strips cut from your
own fabric – one jelly roll will yield enough braids for a king size quilt, or make several smaller quilts from
your strips! A ruler is included with the pattern that maximizes your time and minimizes fabric waste.
What could be better?

leftovers. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you can piece a wall quilt or table topper.

Wednesday July 18th
Color Strip Quilt (Noon to 1:00 p.m.)
The hottest trend at Quilt Market was solids. Quilts, bags, home décor items all made from solids. If
you’re used to prints, solids can be a challenge to work with. Let us give you pointers on how to work with
solids as we show you how to make this fun lap quilt made entirely with solids. The pattern is free with
this demo and includes a coordinating pillowcase.
Instructor: Laura Shotwell

topper made from 60° triangles. This project is so quick and easy you’ll want to make one for everyone on
your Christmas list and now is a good time to start! We’ll also show you how to put a flat piping on the

Saturday July 21st
Framed Tablecloth (Noon to 1:00 p.m.)
Need a project for those large prints you’ve been collecting? Framed tablecloths are a great use for these
fabrics we love, but don’t want to cut and they only take about an hour to complete! Once you learn the
framing process you can frame all kinds of projects from placemats and potholders to tote bags. Let us
show you how!
Instructor: Laura Shotwell

Fabric Tinting Techniques (1:00 to 2:00 p.m.)
Coloring on fabric is an old technique with many new uses. You can achieve the look of applique without
all the work, make a custom quilt label for your quilt in a fraction of the time it takes to embroider or
combine the technique with embroidery to enhance the stitching. We’ll show you vintage and
contemporary examples. This is a hands-on class! You bring the crayons and a piece of solid cotton or
buy a kit for an additional $10.00 and we’ll have a design traced on fabric ready for you to color.
