WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 THRU TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2007 BRYN DU MANSION 537 JONES ROAD GRANVILLE, OHIO JURIED BY Suzanne Accetta The Village of Granville invites you to join us for a third year of Art at the Bryn Du Mansion. For the past two years Granville has played host to the Impressions of Granville Art Show located at the Bryn Du Mansion. For 2007 we have decided to rename the show as the “Bryn Du Art Show”. Our theme for this year is Creative Expression. This art show was created in 2005 for Granville’s Bicentennial celebration, highlighting 42 artists and over 80 pieces of work. We hope that you will join us for this spectacular show. For those artists featured in the last two shows we welcome you back. Below you will find the details for this year’s show. It is our hope that by changing the name and the theme of the show that artists of all types will be encouraged to join us and show off their works. This is no longer a Granville themed show. CATAGORIES
We encourage art that is all encompassing. Two and three-dimensional works including paintings, realistic, abstract, fiber art, photography, ceramics and sculpture. ll work must be original untutored and one of a kind. Works displayed in last years show are not eligible. No art will be accepted after the deadline. Only juried work accepted for show. You may not use substitutions. Must be 18 years of age or older.
Bryn Du Art Show
SALES
The Bryn Du Commission will take a 10% commission from the price listed on the work. Those charging taxes are asked to list the price of the piece and then add the tax separately. Works must remain on view for the duration of the show. Exceptions will be made for out of town buyers.
HOW TO ENTER
Each artist may enter up to FOUR pieces. Label each piece with artist’s name, title, dimension, and medium. Identify top of work when submitting your slide(s). A check for a non-refundable fee of $20.00 should be made out to the Village of Granville and should accompany the entry form. Deadline for entries is August 6, 2007. Also, enclose a self addressed stamped envelope for return of materials.

CALL FOR ENTRIES PREPARATION OF ACCEPTED WORK
Two-dimensional works should be wired and ready to hang. No saw tooth hangers. All works must be labeled on the back or bottom with the artists name, title, medium and price.
LIABILITY
Accepted works will not be insured either at the gallery, or while in the custody of the Bryn Du Mansion/Village of Granville. Artists are encouraged to self-insure their pieces. Great care will be taken to ensure safe handling of your work. The Mansion does have a security system. Signing the entry form signifies the artist has read and accepted the terms of this prospectus.
DELIVERY OF WORK
Pieces are to be delivered on Sunday, September 16th between 12:30 P.M. and 2:30P.M. to: BRYN DU MANSION 537 JONES ROAD GRANVILLE, OHIO Artists needing other arrangements should contact Jodi Weaver Chiles at 740-504-2340, or Jane Heller at 740-587-3722.
SHOW DATES
A preview party will be held the evening of Wednesday, September 19th between 5:30 and 7:30 P.M. The hours the gallery will be open during the rest of the show will be determined at a later date. At delivery all artists will be asked to sign up as a docent for a one, two or three hour period during the run of the show. Works must be picked up September 25 between 5:00 and 7:00 P.M.
TIME TABLE
AUGUST 6, 2007: Deadline for entry. Mail slides or photos, entry form and $20.00 fee to Jodi Weaver Chiles. AUGUST 25: Artist notified. Letters will be mailed and slides, photos, etc returned. SEPTEMBER 16: Deliver art to Bryn Du Mansion, 537 Jones Road, Granville, Ohio between 12:30P.M. and 2:30P.M. SEPTEMBER 19 – SEPTEMBER 25: Show Dates SEPTEMBER 19: Artist reception between 5:30- 7:30P.M. SEPTEMBER 25: Pick up unsold art between 5:00P.M. -7:00P.M.
