11   TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE BUDGET AND
12   CONTROL BOARD, RELATING TO DATA REPORTING
13   REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO SUBMISSION OF
14   AMBULATORY ENCOUNTER DATA, DESIGNATED AS
15   REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 3178, PURSUANT TO
16   THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF
17   THE 1976 CODE.

19   Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South
20   Carolina:

22   SECTION 1. The regulations of the Budget and Control Board,
23   relating to Data Reporting Requirements Pertaining to Submission
24   of Ambulatory Encounter Data, designated as Regulation
25   Document Number 3178, and submitted to the General Assembly
26   pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the
27   1976 Code, are approved.

29   SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by
30   the Governor.

33                      SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED
34                    BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.
35   The State Budget and Control Board, Office of Research and
36   Statistics has amended the regulations that provide for establishing
37   procedures and standards for reporting health care data from South
38   Carolina outpatient facilities requiring a Certificate of Need. Such
39   facilities include, but are not limited to hospitals, ambulatory
40   surgery centers, home health agencies, providers of ambulatory
41   services and other providers offering services with equipment
42   requiring a Certificate of Need. The amendments will update the

1 standards by which the above South Carolina health care providers
2 submit health care data, requiring a monthly submission of data as
3 opposed to a quarterly submission.
