                        IMPORTANT NOTES TO ALL JUMPING COMPETITORS
1)    Please note that the Society is now obliged to charge VAT on entry fees. VAT Registered Exhibitors may claim
      back the VAT percentage of the entry fees and stabling by sending a stamped addressed envelope with entries
      requesting VAT receipt.
2)    We have tried to cater for all grades of horses and riders. Horses are only required on the day they compete.
3)    ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE CORRECT PAYMENT AND/OR THE BRITISH
      SHOWJUMPING REGISTRATION NUMBERS OF ALL HORSE(S), RIDER(S) AND OWNER(S). IF THEY ARE
      NOT COMPLETED ON THE ENTRY FORM, THEN THE ENTRIES WILL BE RETURNED.
4)    EXHIBITORS NUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED FOR EVERY HORSE ENTERED AND MUST BE COLLECTED
      FROM THE DECLARATIONS OFFICE. EXHIBITORS ARE ASKED TO DECLARE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES
      BEFORE THE FIRST CLASS OF THE DAY AND ONE HOUR BEFORE ALL OTHER CLASSES. THE
      DECLARATION OFFICE WILL BE SITUATED BY THE SHOW JUMPING RINGS. FAILURE TO DECLARE
      MAY MEAN ELIMINATION FROM THE COMPETITION. TELEPHONE DECLARATIONS FOR THE FIRST
      CLASS OF THE DAY WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 8.00 AM ON 07791 068888.
5)    If any competitors or owners of horses have any queries, etc, they should contact the Equine Department at the
      Showground.
6)    INSURANCE
      It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to insure all property and livestock on the showground or elsewhere which
      is his own, or for which he is responsible. The Society requires exhibitors to effect Employers Liability insurance
      where this is required by statute. The Society also requires exhibitors to effect Public Liability and Products
      Liability insurance with a minimum indemnity of £1,000,000 to protect their liability.

                                           LIVESTOCK GENERAL NOTES

ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION, BY-LAWS AND REGULATIONS:
(a)   The organisation of the Equifest Show Jumping Show is under the control of a Council, which consists of
      representatives of the participating Agricultural Societies.
(b)   The Show is held under the Articles of Association, By-Laws and Regulations of the East of England
      Agricultural Society, which accordingly bind all exhibitors, members of the participating Agricultural Societies
      and all others attending the Show.
(c)   Compliance with Government and Local Authority Regulations and all Codes of Practice. All Shows,
      Exhibitions and Events organised by the Society on the Showground or elsewhere are subject to any relevant
      orders issued by Government Departments and Local Authorities, and all Codes of Practice with which all
      exhibitors and others attending such Shows, exhibitions and events must comply.
(d)   Exhibitors’ attention is also drawn to the breed regulations and competition conditions printed in this Schedule.
(e)   Copies of the Articles of Association, By-Laws and Regulations can be obtained on request to the Secretary of
      the Society.

                                          Start of Evening Performance – 5.30pm prompt

WHITTAKER COACHBUILDERS INTERNATIONAL LTD GRAND PRIX
For registered horses in Grades A & B. Speed 375mpm. Table A9 Two Round Competition. The
best 5 scores, or, all clear rounds, will go forward to the second round, which will be against the
clock. In the event of equality, faults and time will decide, i.e. the faster four faulters will qualify.
All scores in the first round will be carried forward to the second round. Competitors in the second
round will start in the reverse order of merit or the slowest four faulter will go first, the faster clear
last. If necessary, those who do not reach the second round, faults and time in the first round will
determine their placings. If a competitor withdraws from the second round he/she will not be
replaced and he/she will receive the placing from the first round however they will be placed after
those who compete in round two. Maximum height of fences 1.50m. At least five prizes to be
awarded.

Entries for this class must be made by 3.00pm. The drawn order will be posted at 4.00pm

Table A7. Speed 350mpm.Rule 310 For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or
Pony Associate Members. If there are 30 or more entries the class will be split. This class is a
qualifier for the Equifest Grade C Championship to be held Indoor in the Equifest Ring inside the
Peterborough Arena on Sunday 19th August 2012. The first four horses in Grade C qualify.
Qualifiers must jump clear in the first round.

The section you wish to enter must be clearly stated on the entry form. Please note that
competitors may not enter both sections.

                                    AFFILIATED SHOW JUMPING RULES

1)    All competitions are held under British Showjumping rules, as stated in the conditions and are confined to
      registered horses to be ridden by members in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79.
2)    STABLING
      PLEASE NOTE - there are no permanent stables on the showground, a limited number of temporary stables will
      be available for Show Jumping Competitors which can be booked and paid for in advance separate to entries.
      Stables if booked are reserved from 5pm the night prior to and for the day of judging up to 4.30pm.
      Nights required must be clearly indicated and payment made at time of booking. Mangers or bedding will not be
      provided in stables; however a limited supply of fodder may be available for purchase at the show.
      REFUND OF STABLING FEES WILL BE GIVEN IN FULL UPON RECEIPT OF A WRITTEN REQUEST UNTIL
        ST
      1 AUGUST 2012.
3)    ENTRY FEES.

      Entry fees are set out under the heading for each class. Anyone returning their passes by 12 noon on 16

      August 2012 will receive half of their entry fee back. Stables are non-refundable after 1 August 2012.
4)    DECLARATIONS
       Competitors must declare at least half an hour before the first class of the day and at least one hour
      before all other classes. Failure to do this may result in elimination. Exhibitors may telephone the declaration
      office on 07791 068888 to declare on the day of the competition for the first class of the day but not before
      8.000 am.
5)    NOMINATION ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
6)    SUBSTITUTIONS
      Substitutions will be permitted in accordance with British Showjumping Rules. Notification of substitutions must
      be declared in writing to the Declaration Office not later than one hour before the competition is due to start, the
      Competitor must make sure that the Collecting Ring, Steward and Judges have been informed of the
      substitution before he / she starts his / her round.
7)    UP-GRADING
      Grade B & C horses entered at the Show and up-graded after the date of entries closing will be allowed to
      compete in Grade A or B Competitions. Notification must be made in writing to the Secretary’s Office and
      re-entry made at the same time.
8)    PRIZE MONEY
      An extra prize equal to the last prize will be added in each class in accordance with Rule 76 (6). In the event of
      insufficient starters lower prizes may be withheld in accordance with Rule 76 (6) PRIZE MONEY will be sent to
      all winners after the show.
9)    Correct dress must be worn by all competitors. Failure to comply may involve elimination.
10)   Automatic Timing Apparatus will be in operation.
11)   Attention is particularly drawn to British Showjumping Regulations regarding access to the ring.
12)   The right is reserved to cancel, add to or amend any of the competitions without prior permission from British
      Showjumping as necessities of the programme may require and to preliminary judge in the mornings or at any
      other time, all or any of the competitions if it is considered necessary to do so.
13)   PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR
      All riders of horses must AT ALL TIMES on the Showground wear properly approved / recognised protective
      headgear.
14)   HORSE WALKWAYS
      All horses and riders must use the horse walkways provided and not exercise or ride in public areas of the
      showground. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
15)   For some sponsored classes, exhibitors may be asked to meet the Sponsors after the class so please allow
      time.
16)   DOGS
      Dogs must be on leads and be kept under control at all times. Please ensure you clean up after your dog and
      remove any faeces.
17)   STALLIONS
      No member of the British Showjumping shall allow a stallion for which he is responsible as owner, lessee,
      authorised agent, or rider to attend a show, compete or be prepared to compete in any show jumping
      competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other horses/ponies, competitors and members of
      the public are not put at risk or injury.
18)   IN THE EVENT OF A CLASH OF CLASSES, THE EQUIFEST RING WILL TAKE PRECEDENCE.

                             UN-AFFILIATED SHOW JUMPING RULES

1. Classes will be run under current BS Rules.
2. Hats to current BSI standard must be worn at all times when mounted.
3. Liability - the organisers or anyone acting on their behalf accept no liability whatsoever for loss,
   injury or damage to any animal, property, persons or vehicles.
4. Objections must be handed in to the Secretary in writing within half an hour of the event,
   together with a deposit of 20.00 The deposit will be forfeited if the Show
   Officials decide the objection is not sustained.
5. The Management reserve the right to limit the entries in any class.
6. All prize money for the Un-affiliated Show Jumping will be paid in cash and must be collected
   on the day of the show or they will be forfeited.
7. Ponies may be ridden by Seniors and Horses may be ridden by Juniors.
8. Competitors having entered a class are not entitled to a refund should they decide to withdraw
   for any reason.
9. Appropriate competition dress must be worn by all competitors.
