Queries
What is a Query?
A database query is used to select required
records from files in a database
What is a Simple Query?
A Simple Query is based on just one field and
one search value
What is a Complex Query?
Complex Queries can be made by combining
simple queries using the operators AND and
OR
Query Comparisons
Equal to (=)
Finds records where the field value matches
the search value exactly
Greater than (>)
Finds records with a field value greater than
the search value
Less than (<)
Finds records with a field value less than the
search value
Query Comparisons
True or Yes
Finds records with the field value of
true or yes
False or No
Finds records with the field value of
false or no
Query Comparisons
Between
Finds records with a field value between
and including the two search values
NOT (<>)
Finds records with field values that do
not contain the search value
