Ceama was born whit the idea to support agro-ecology in the agriculture sector whit the
intention of keep the biodiversity and the environment in the centre and north-west of

It’s intended to design and use sustainable agrarian systems ecologically, to recuperate
and conserve the agrarian and natural biodiversity, to sensitize people about the

The center has four bio-climatic studies that aim to make people aware that life can be

In the botanical garden, “Garden of the Senses ", shows the traditional uses of plants
used by the men, the diversity of the plant world and the most characteristic vegetation
of central and northwest of the Region and the Iberian Peninsula. It also aims to
transmit knowledge and to recover and preserve botanical and endangered species in the
Region of Murcia.
“The school of eco-agriculture "is made up of an agricultural system designed with
eco-agriculture principles of self-sufficiency and sustainability. It has an area dedicated
to the production of local and traditional varieties and breeds farm.
This school tries to demonstrate the viability of organic farming (farming without
chemicals, "Green Revolution") use traditional crops of the zone without genetic
manipulation. To do this, they use traditional agriculture tactics (like fallow, crop
rotation, natural manure, traditional methods of planting, etc...) to avoid the rivers and
lakes pollution, the ground erosion, the exhaustion of minerals to the floor and the
