NACE C-Kits [High School]
 The C-Kit was developed in 2005 by the NACE Foundation. The experiments
contained in the C-Kits are designed to provide a fun and challenging learning
experience about the effects of corrosion.
 Teacher’s Testimonial about C-Kit
“The camp ROCKED! I learned so much that I am slightly afraid my brain will
explode…. I will certainly use the demos with the NACE kits in class…. I have
considered many, many options for how I will incorporate this learning into my labs.”
                    Thanks so much!
Teresa Spavins, Carver Middle School, Tulsa

Teacher Camps [High School]
 NACE Foundation is the Number One partner with ASM Teacher Camp Program
 One day of the Program focuses on corrosion
 Students have natural curiosity about materials around them.
 Showing the link between Materials and Science (Physics/Chemistry) stirs interest
and provides an incentive to learn Science
 126 Teacher Materials Camp’s completed (2002 – 2010)
   - 3,003 High School Teachers participated
   - 87% are currently using tools acquired in camps
   - The Foundation C-Kit is the most used tool provided to the teachers

Workforce Development [Veterans]
 In an effort to address the growing workforce need in the corrosion field, the NACE
Foundation has adopted “Workforce Development” as one of its premiere programs.
“The first phase of this program focuses on military veterans and their families
and will include both job training and placement assistance.”
 The goal is to train veterans to a certification level in their field of interest: coatings,
