Thank you for your e-mail dated 26 June 2004, registered on 29.06.2004, requesting
access to documents under Regulation No 1049/20011 regarding public access to
European Parliament, Council and Commission documents.
I regret to inform you that the documents requested of Directorate-General for Agriculture
do not exist. Information from the Member States concerning EAGGF fund aids is not
received in form of a report. However, requests for access to information contained in a
database managed by the Commission will be treated in the same way as a request for
access to a document if the request does not involve the drawing up of new informatics
instructions to make a search for the data and if the request can be treated by routine
operations. This is not the case in this instance.
This does not prejudge the possibility that the Member States themselves could divulge
individual data according to their national legislation.
You will receive a separate reply from Directorate-General for Fisheries.
However, if you want this position to be reviewed you should write to the Commission's
Secretary-General at the address below, confirming your initial request. You have fifteen
working days in which to do so from receipt of this letter, after which your initial request
will be deemed to have been withdrawn.
The Secretary-General will inform you of the result of this review within 15 working days
from the registration of your request, either granting you access to the documents or
confirming the refusal. In the latter case, you will be informed of how you can take further
